Miranda…… Murder Mile

A friend of mine Al Veryard arranged for the lovely Miranda to model for a photoshoot. When your shooting and your enjoying what your doing, then seeing great results on the back of the camera, you know  your going too be really satisfied with the end result. Miranda is the type of model that is relentless with her poses, brilliant. It was almost too easy. Hope you enjoy.

Its Snowing! Well….it was last week.

Sunday morning, what better way to start the day than getting out to shoot the snow on Mitcham Common. Ok so its not Central Park, but give the place a good bucket load of snow and the place transformed into something  a bit more special than normal. I tried to capture  the simple beauty of the landscape and create a timeless photo set. I hope you enjoy.

Stills are here

New Website

It’s been ages since I’ve added to this blog, so what better way to break the silence that than to let you know about my newly revamped website. Yes I’ve not just been sat on my hands for the last few weeks, I’ve been constructing….and demolishing…..and rebuilding……..Its taken me a while to do it, but getting stuck in with the building the website  myself will mean that things get updated more regularly, doesn’t that sound good?

So what are you still doing here? Go and take a look and hit me in the comments.

Nick & Helena

For me, shooting weddings is always much more fun when you know the people your going to photograph. Nick and I lived together for 3 years at university, which made the job of capturing his and Helena’ wedding day that bit easier. Of course theres still plenty of pressure to get the important shots. Have a look at the animoto slide show and enjoy.

Abdul & Kay’s Wedding

Last Saturday I helped shoot my first Muslim wedding/ Nikkah.  This was one large wedding with about 500 guests, pretty much four times bigger than any I’ve shot before. Despite the huge numbers, it wasn’t as bad as i thought. Abdul was an incredibly easy groom to shoot, always smiling and laughing, a really great guy. The family and guests were so friendly  and really enjoyed themselves, which makes the photography side much easier. Dudley Williams, the main shooter, shot the bride, Kay, whilst I shot Abdul before the ceremony, then we joined forces later on in the day.  Seems straight forward? Well not quite. They then had another wedding the following day, which was the civil ceremony, so that the marriage was deemed legal. This was a more traditional wedding; white dress, horse and carriage, cake cutting etc. I’ve put a small slideshow of the two days for you to have a look at.

Mary’s Christening

Mary
I recently went to the christening of my girlfriend’s niece, Mary. I offered to take some photos, so I thought I’d put a couple of the best up. Mary is a fantastic little girl, and she made it too easy.

Epping Forest Photo Shoot

Epping Forest- 26/06/10
After my old camera died, I decided to upgrade to the Nikon D300s SLR. Wow, what a difference.  The extra pennies really make for a different camera. So I took it out for a test drive in Epping Forest for a group fashion shoot with the London Strobist  Meetup group. Here are the best shots of the day from me and my new camera. The first shots with Ufuoma in the yellow dress all had the use of some off camera flash photography, whilst the second set with Radka were just all natural light. Let me know what you think.

In the begining was the word, and the word was with blog

Hello, people of the tinterweb….. So I’ve finally decided to start my own blog.  This is going to be a kind of hub for my photographic activity, so hopefully people can keep up to date with my work and get some enjoyment out of it and maybe give a little back.  I would love to hear any comments/criticisms, or even just a hello from time to time. Well, being my first post, Ive ran out of stuff to say already. I guess its time to throw up some images and see what comes back. Hope you enjoy the blog (at some point) .
